ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Georgia Campus - Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), in the greater Atlanta area, is seeking qualified individuals for a full-time Clinical Clerkship Housing Director for both the Georgia and Philadelphia campuses and for all academic programs.  This position reports to the Office of the Chief Campus Officer of the Georgia Campus.  The Housing Director will be responsible to PCOM programs on both campuses to be accountable for approved student clerkship housing needs.  Duties include, but are not limited to:  determining the locations of available housing for PCOM clerks in all programs and on both campuses, based on program needs.  Inform the programs of PCOM student housing locations and other options.  Maintain a database of all known of PCOM Clerkship responsible housing.   Answer housing-related inquiries from students and colleagues.  Collect clerkship housing needs from each program on both campuses.  Prepare and check proposals, offers to lease, lease agreements, and other documents relating to off campus housing in all locations.  Work with the various PCOM programs to negotiate contracts based on each program’s needs for student housing.  Implement appropriate measures to ensure compliance with national, local, and the broader college community. Coordinate data collection or housing assignments from each program; run housing statistic reports as needed.  Communicate housing assignments to students.

     

     

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • The minimum level of formal education required for this position is a Bachelor Degree. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a higher education setting, with experience in housing, residence life or apartment management is preferred.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Banner is a plus.  This position will require travel 25-50% of the time.
