Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Specialty Care Center, comprised of Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Gynecology, and Surgery practices, is currently seeking a Practice Manager. The Practice Manager will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the office which includes directing and supervising the activities of the support staff, assisting in developing operational budgets, overseeing charge entry and file scanning for the center, assisting the department chairs in fulfilling all clinical and academic responsibilities, and other duties as necessary. The Practice Manager will also remotely manage the South Philadelphia medical office for the Pulmonary Practice.
A minimum four years management experience with at least three years in a fast-paced medical office environment is required. Qualified applicants must be capable of exercising significant independence and initiative in the performance of their duties and possess excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and NextGen, or similar practice management/electronic medical records system, is required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, however candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
