Part-Time Medical Assistant
Cambria Healthcare Center

  • Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Cambria Healthcare Center, seeks a part-time Medical Assistant (20 hours/week). Clerical responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling and registering patients for appointments, insurance verification, scanning files, and processing billing and charge entry for the practice. Clinical responsibilities include preparing patients for visits with the physician, diagnostic testing, vaccinations, blood drawing, and specimen processing. 




  • Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum 3 years experience in a fast paced ambulatory healthcare setting.  CPR certification and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required. Medical Assistant Certification is strongly preferred. Prior experience with electronic medical records is required; experience with NextGen software is strongly preferred.
